A committed professional with a deep passion for excellence in the built environment,  Arc. Finomo Nteimam Orom has dedicated his career to upholding the highest standards of architectural practice. Born on 1st July 1963, he is an indigene of Ikuru Town in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. A devoted Christian, he is married and blessed with children.

His academic journey reflects a strong foundation in architecture and a persistent pursuit of knowledge. He obtained both his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Architecture (1983–1988) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Architecture (1989–1991) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, one of Nigeria’s premier institutions. Prior to his university studies, he attended CMS Grammar School, Bariga, Lagos, where he earned the West African School Certificate in 1980. In furtherance of his professional development, he received a Certificate of Participation in Project Management Training in February 2010.

He is a well-recognised member of the architectural profession, holding full membership in the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) since June 2001 (Membership No. M/1897). He is also fully registered with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), a status he attained in November 2008.

His extensive work experience spans several decades and encompasses key roles within reputable architectural firms and institutions across Nigeria. He began his professional career as an internee at Archi-Viron Associates in Lagos (1988–1989), followed by an internship at Team Architects, Jibowu (1989–1990). He later served as a Pupil Architect at Landmark Architects, Lagos, in 1992 before undertaking his National Youth Service at the Adamawa State Urban Planning & Development Authority, Yola (1992–1993).

His growth continued as he took on the role of Architect at Finarch Consult, Lagos (1993–1996), and later returned to Team Architects as a Project Architect (1997–2002). In 2002, he became Managing Partner at Finarch Consult in Port Harcourt, a position he held for a decade. His expertise in design and project supervision also earned him the role of Resident Architect for the Rainbow Town Project at Custom Realities, Port Harcourt (2012–2015). Since January 2016, he has served as Principal Partner at Finarch Consult, Port Harcourt, where he continues to lead architectural design, project development, and consultancy services.

His dedication to the architectural profession extends beyond practice into leadership and service. He has served in multiple capacities within the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Rivers State Chapter, including:

His commitment to service is equally demonstrated in religious, community, and educational settings. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees, Ikuru Town Host Community Development Trust (2023–Date), contributing to sustainable development in his hometown. Within the Recovery House Church, Port Harcourt, he has served as Project Manager and Building Committee Member since 2009, Registrar/Secretary of the Bible College (2015–2021), and currently holds the role of Dean/Chaplain of the Bible College (2021–Date).

He has also played significant roles in church building committees, including:

  • Member, Building Committee, St. Jude’s Military Church, Port Harcourt (2001–2008)
