Ikuru Host Community Development Trust’s Livelihood Support Programme

The Ikuru Host Community Development Trust (IHCDT) remains committed to the welfare and development of the Ikuru Town community. In the spirit of giving and ensuring that families experience the joy of the season, the Trust successfully carried out its Livelihood Support Programme (Christmas Package) in December 2024. This initiative positively impacted over 1,700 households, bringing relief and festive cheer to many residents.

Recognising the economic challenges faced by many families, the Trust organised this livelihood support programme to provide essential food items to households within Ikuru Town. The programme aimed to ease the financial burden on families during the festive period and ensure that every home had access to nutritious meals.

As part of the livelihood Package, the Trust distributed a variety of essential food items, including:

• Bags of rice
• Tomato puree
• Noodles
• Vegetable oil

Each household received a package containing these vital items, enabling families to prepare hearty meals and celebrate Christmas with joy and dignity.
